The Czech and Slovak Cultural and Social Society began as a small gathering at the Colorado Springs Foreign Language Center in July 1978. Under the leadership of Mary Jensen, the group mushroomed into a strong, dedicated club, which now holds monthly meetings at the International Polka Club, 2422 Busch Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80904. The Southern Colorado Family Polka Club has dances, featuring most of Colorado's finest polka bands, on the first, third and fifth Sundays of each month from 3:00 to 7:00 PM in the Elks Club Ballroom located at 5th and Santa Fe Ave. in Pueblo, CO.
