We had a great time honoring our veterans with a USO-style dance.
The Club's October Fest was a marvelous time. You should have been there!
Our 50's Sock Hop 2008 was so much fun! There were a lot of poodle skirts, leather jackets, white bobby socks, root beer floats, dancing, hula hooping, and many door prizes! Our Grand prize of a $50 gift card to the Elephant Bar Restaurant was won by John Palan.
Annual Picnic 2008. Cold, rainy weather forced us to have our party in the club instead of outside at the Air Force Academy. We sure had a great time, anyway!
Luau August 2008. What a fun time! The club's chief cook, Betty Walton, prepared Sweet and Sour Pork. All attendees brought side dishes, desserts, etc. There were so many bright shirts and dresses, you almost needed sunglasses! The Rick Borger Band provided us with an evening of great music, including some tropical themed songs. Everyone got into the Hawaiian atmosphere as you can see by the non stop smiles.
CzechSlovak July 2008. Marvelous. The cooks of the Cz/Sl Club prepared cabbage rolls, Brats and several side dishes. The dancers put on a superb performance, entertaining all. Shown L-R are: Kathleen and Mike Robson, Marge Korzekwa, Susan Johnnie and the dance team.
German Fest 2008. What a fun time! Frances Rooney and her crew provided a delicious, authentic German meal. We had a great variety of music provided by the Rhinelanders Band and even got in the Electric Slide line dance. Check out the new shelving in the bar area for our resident bar tenders, Judy and Gary Nelson.
Mother's Day and Fancy Hat Contest 2008. We enjoyed a delicious spaghetti dinner followed by dancing to the Dick Zovodny Band. Several ladies donned their hats for the contest which was won by the always elegant Lena Jordan (top row 6th picture). We even had a hat made from a colander with strings of "spaghetti"...fitting for the evening meal! Miss Valerie (bottom row 2nd picture) is the future of our club!
Royalty for 2008 King and Queen - Paul and Margaret Steichen Prince and Princess - John and Kristina Palen
2008 Mardi Gras We had a great time, as usual! People from numerous states came for a weekend of music, food and drink and of course.....a lot of non stop dancing! We even had a "cave man" couple show up as well as our "Air Quality Controllers". They all got a hearty laugh!

Dance Lessons. Judy and Gary Nelson give basic lessons
in Waltz, Fox Trot, Rumba and more. Sessions will be every first and third Thursday of the month (5th Thurs. when warranted) and go from 7:15 PM to 8:45 PM. It is best to have a partner, but not a necessity. Give the Nelsons a call at 593-2011 or 598-9774.
12/2/06 Club Alcoholic Beverage Policy Change. To comply with the Colorado Liquor Board's recent advisement, the Club has been obligated to change its policy with regard to the consumption of alcoholic beverages at dances and other affairs. Commencing immediately, alcoholic beverages may be brought to Club events and consumed only by members, except for special events for which the Club obtains an event liquor license. For these special events (well advertised in advance), the Club will have an open bar and sell drinks to all attendees 21 and over - no one will be permitted to bring in alcoholic beverages. Scheduled applicable special events include the New Year's Eve dance and the Mardi Gras Polka Fest.
